There has been much activity in the veterinary publishing industry in the past year, and most recently this week. Four of the market’s publishing companies have sold their assets, including: Advanstar (dvm360, Veterinary Economics, Veterinary Medicine, Firstline); Veterinary Learning Systems (Compendium, Veterinary Technician); BowTie Inc. (Veterinary Practice News); and VetMed Communications Inc. (Today’s Veterinary Practice). 

Brief Media, AVMA, and AAHA are the only publishers that have not elected to sell their assets. In fact, Brief Media has achieved more than 5 years of consistent, robust annualized circulation and financial growth. 

We are committed to the veterinary profession for the long term. Whereas many of the publishers in our profession have sold, Brief Media demonstrates ongoing success in this market year after year.

Clinician’s Brief leads the profession in the number of small animal veterinary practitioners reached with each issue.*

Brief Media leads the profession in founding mutually beneficial burgeoning partnerships. In addition to our existing partnerships, in the past two years alone we have sought innovative partnerships with WSAVA, Dr. Donald Plumb, ACVS, VBMA, and WVC. 

These partnerships have fueled additional innovations and growth. With strong collaborations come flourishing innovations, including Plumb’s Therapeutics Brief and the Plumb’s Veterinary Drug digital application, to be launched in January 2015.

Clinician’s Brief continues to be under contract with NAVC as the Official Publication.

As we look to the future, we will continue to expand our strategic partnerships with those partners that share our vision for uncompromised standards of quality content and our mission of improving the welfare of pets and their owners worldwide. The future has never looked brighter.
